The children in Sycamore Class enjoyed a rare insight into life in a rainforest when they visited the Living Rainforest in Berkshire. They learned a lot about how animals and plants have adapted to the warm, dark and humid conditions. The pictures below will give you a glimpse of what they saw.
A representative from Melksham Foodbank was overwhelmed by the generosity of our donations this morning when she came to collect them. She explained that their stocks were running dangerously low so our contributions had come at just the right time. Thank you to all those who contributed. Click here to see our certificate.
Well weren’t those performances amazing. Well done to all involved on great acting, singing, costumes and behaviour. I hope you enjoy these photographs:
Great news that our school has been awarded the Good Diabetes Care in School Award in recognition of the approach and support offered to children with diabetes. Thank you to Sian for nominating us, thank you to all the relevant staff who work so hard to put in the right level of support and mostly, thank you to Rhys himself who makes it a pleasure to help him.
A very well done to the 4 children in Chestnut Class who asked to organise a cake sale to raise money to help Syrian children. The event on Friday 14th October raised £181.87 which will be donated to Unicef to suppport their work.
Very big thanks to all the parents who sent in cakes and also to Haydens Bakery who donated a large number of cakes to the event.
A huge thanks to Denis, one of our parents, who spent the weekend building a magnificent mud kitchen for Holly Class. Once we have a few more pots, pans, colanders and wooden spoons etc, as well as the all-in-one waterproofs (!) the children will be good to go.
