In English, we will focus on a stimulus (text or animation) every two weeks. Below, you will find a video of this stimulus which should be the first thing your child watches. Following this, you will then find six activities – three for reading and three for writing. Both reading and writing activities will use the same stimulus as a basis for the task, however the writing tasks will have an additional learning focus which will be explained in the introduction video.
Your child should try to complete at least three English activities over the week, ensuring that they explore a mix of both reading and writing. However, please remember to be flexible with the suggested timings and activities – if your child wants to spend longer on one activity then this should be encouraged. In the supporting documents section below each activity, you may find additional resources which will help your child.
