Some of the members of our newly created Eco-Committee, along with their families, came into school on the first day of half term, to start creating the eco-board which is needed to help achieve the Eco-School's Bronze Award. The Eco-Board will publicise the work of the committee and display their action plan and the minutes of their meetings.
The committee had previously had the idea that instead of using backing paper, it would be more appropriate to use newspaper and this quickly developed into the idea of using newspaper and magazine articles that were on a relevant theme including climate change, pollution and biodiversity.
It seems a shame that some of these articles are going to be covered up by their notices but it has prompted the committee to continue to collect and share current environmental news items.
